all the profiles are identical, other than admins. Admins have the ability to mimic another users security settings, so I'll give that a try shortly. As a starter for ten we should get Dave to just link to an image, without adding the url wrapper to make tge image a link. In actual fact, if people just link to tge full size image, there is no need to make the image a hyperlink to photobucket any more, as the forum software can now automatically resize it for the forum and make it clickable to see tge full size image, its much easier this way.

Kevin , thank you again , enable BBcode by default was off . Tis now on , and I'll try again with 1 photo .
Ben , I've fingers crossed that I don't have to go as deep as you are suggesting , but thanks again .
P.S. Tried 2 photo posts on FC website . Both were successful , and were visible on preview ; that so far is not the case here .

Ben , it seems it was Kevin's top tip, ''enable BBcode by default '' needed switching to Yes .
So one and all and especially Kevin , Ben , Garry and Dave B thank you for taking time and patience to run through a trouble shooting checklist and enable me to learn new skills .
And now tongue in cheek , and remembering old friends .... If Ian had helped I'm sure he would not have been so polite to me ! I'm sure a good ragging would have been involved . I'll just apologise and say my excuse is NFN ... [ normal for Norfolk ]
I'll try and repost the set as a fresh start ; and confirm I've learned by putting a second small set up .

Don't worry mate. I spent an unhappy 12months aboard HMS Wakeful (unhappy because I lived in Portsmouth at the time!) so I don't need any reminders
