Grabbed this from PC Aviator as it was half price, and whilst not British, was certainly used by the RAF.
A few variations included, most noticeable being the nose mods.
I've admired the look of the B-24 since I was in primary school. It supposedly comes with PK but I've had to write and ask how to d/l that.(TFM says it has to be done separately on account of the file size. Compared to ES IoM, it's a tiddler!)
There are several selectable visuals like waist gunner, bomb load etc, and two styles of engine sound (turbo/non turbo)
I'll need to see it in RAAF paint before I'm satisfied. Nothing really wrong with the US schemes, they're just not Aussie!

Hi Mike
Yes.. we used the Liberator a hell of a lot over numerous theatres of war. It's never been one to 'float my boat' though. Can't tell you why.. it's just one of those things I guess.

Mike,
it seems we have something else in common - I too have always loved the look of the B-24. As a young lad, I much preferred it to the ugly (comparatively) B-17 with its lumps and bumps sticking out into the airflow. Anyway, I bought both the B-24 versions that AlphaSim produced some years ago, so checked through my library when I read your post. I found two RAAF repaints and both FS9 and FSX paint kits for the version 2 model. I got the paint kits from the Flight1 website. The two RAAF paints were downloaded from AvSim, so try looking for files named fs9_alpha_b24_ballarat_baby.zip and fs9_alpha_b24_blue_heeler.zip. It may be that the files went walkabout during one of the recent hacks, so if you can't find them there, I'd be more than happy to send you a copy if you're interested. I should perhaps comment that I tend to download repaints that are in some way a little different from the norm, so I have, e.g., repaints for the version 2 model for aircraft from Romania, Russia, the Netherlands, South Africa and a few other countries, as well as regular RAF and USAAF ones, and, in particular, some of the assembly ships from that service.
Best of luck with your new acquisition,

Re: Virtavia B-24
Ro,
Thanks for the HU, matey!
Saw some of those Euro schemes on Avsim or Flight Sim, but found some suitable RAAF versions by Jankees at Aussiex.
Having installed those, I'll now have a look for a couple of RAF paints, then pick a few favourites and delete the rest.
BTW, anybody know whether storing multiple paint schemes slows down the loading when changing aircraft, or is it the number of different models on file that puts the brakes on?

Re: Virtavia B-24
It's probably the model variants more than anything Mike.. especially if you have 'Show all' selected as I do
Rather than 'bin' anything I don't want to see.. I put n after panel= in the aircraft.cfg. For sure.. FSX reads the cfg entries but it won't try and load anything with panel=n in the cfg
This makes the 'Show all' option a lot quicker
