ZA150 (5H-MOG) Arrives At Her Final Resting Place
Her final arrival at Dunsfold today. Unfortunately the sun was on the wrong side of the runway to get any decent airborne shots
If God had meant us to fly, he would have given us tickets.
Re: ZA150 (5H-MOG) Arrives At Her Final Resting Place
I have very fond memories of a number of trips in 5H-MOG in the 1970s - usually Nairobi - London - including a memorable one near the end of EAA ( early 1976 ) when our Captain who I think on that occasion was Capt. Preston had to pay for fuel in cash !

And then there was one...until tomorrow.

Thanks for posting Paul.
Incidentally.. my team leader and another crew member off the Vanguard at Brooklands were there too. I gather '150' is in a bit of a state with corrosion so lets hope it's addressed before it gets too bad.

Do we know where the last flight will end? Newquay have one, Dunsfold have one now, as do Bruntingthorpe...I'm of course hoping Elvington, but room is tight there already now with the Nimrod.

The last ever flight is tomorrow..to Bruntingthorpe.
ZA147 arrives at approximately 12:30
The reason BTW that Brooklands has saved ZA150 even though they have nowhere to put it is given as they felt they had to as it was the last airliner ever wholly built at Weybridge.

Yes, ZA150 being the last VC10 built.

A couple more shots.
I hope they will be able to keep this a/c live for taxi runs.
