East Kirkby Airshow

Post by Chris Sykes »

This was a very last second spur of the second, the mother and I decided to nip up to the air show at East Kirkby... The main reason being the Vulcan was to display!
Here are some photos I took today, such a mixed day with the sun and clouds, rain later in the day. The issue I had was I haven't done aircraft photography for years, as I'm used to racing hence these may not be the best but I though you might appreciate these anyway...

Really enjoyed the displays as there was a mix of sports aircraft (Blades, Pitt's) and the Biplanes of a flying Circus which were really entertaining to an Autogyro which was thrown around madly. Obviously the highlight was the Vulcan but the two ship Mustangs and Spitfire Beauchon were enjoyable too.

Any less speak more pictures...

thanks, in fact I would possibly say that the air show was more enjoyable than Waddo. There was a variety of routines, Yak was impressive, that autogyro even more so...

Sadly not much of a howl but still impressive sight as always, thanks for the comments

I rather liked the first one...The Spit in silhouette. I liked the cloud background and the lighting...Great picture with atmosphere :)
