Thanks for the HU Chris. Has anyone any recommendations from the Virtavia bunch (FSX only)? The F111 looks interesting, particularly at this price point.

Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Well i have not had the F111 but seeing these models are from the Alphasim stable i would recommend any of them, i have had quite a few of their models over the years,

Cheers,

Roger.

I have their Sea King, B-1 and the BN-2 and quite a lot of the Alphasim FSX ones. However i belive thats opinions drop their F-111 to the bottom of the 3 available...

I have the Chinook Chris and it's not bad at all. It comes with 2 different cfg's.. 1 which is a standard FSX setup and the other simulates 2 engines :)

Hi Chris :hello:

I don't have that one so can't comment. Knowing the quality of both ND and Milvis.. the version you have is bound to be visually very good though if ND were responsible for the FD, you can throw rice up in the air and see how many fall to ground. Some of their stuff is great, some lacking. An object lesson in the latter is the ND AS350.. the FD is dire 8) That said, their AS332, Bo105, EC120, EC135 and MD902 are fine but from what I've read of their AW109, it's another dog! The Virtavia Chinook suits me and works well using the 2-engine FD so I'd not buy another unless this one was a pig ;)

I have to admit that the ND one is pretty nice flying, has a tendency to roll left for some reason... Might get the Virtavia one as its a correct RAF model instead of a reskin...

Hi Chris :hello:

That's a good enough reason and for half price, it's a good time to go for it ;)

I had a look through their inventory this afternoon and I'm disappointed to say there's nothing there that takes my fancy. I guess if I were feeling flush.. I'd try the Hind but I'm back in FS9 at the moment testing scenery so I may just let it go this time around ;)
