I loathe Chrome....I have to use it for Flight Radar24 as IE doesn't have the balls and Firefox takes more and more until after an hour or so it's using a mass of resources.

Google has always been my search and will remain so

Thing is...why is the speller broken??, That's what I want to know, but as usual the solution is to be told to use something else.

A quick google search shows that the spell check server has been down for a couple of days worldwide but no official word on why or for how long.

I notice now that the spell check button has gone from Google Toolbar too and the service remains down worldwide. One user suggested that the spell checker in Chrome had just been updated too and that this update may have broken everyone elses. Nothing official from Google :dunno: Another user suggested this seems to be inline with other recent utilities for IE left broken by Google. Maybe my earlier comment about it being retribution for us all not using Chrome is true :-O If this turns out to be the case.. Google toolbar will go. In reality, I only ever use the spell checker.. I can get a map from anywhere!

I just came onto this thread to say about the button too...

When I went to where I live last night I noticed it and when I came home this morning (long story) it was gone from those machines too :dunno:

You've been doing the rounds again I see

Yup.. I realised after my last post that above all, I use Google as a search engine so I'd probably keep the toolbar for that alone. Pee's me off though and a whole pile of users worldwide too by the looks of things!

Nothing changed there mate :(

My stand is this...nothing should be changed unless the user wants, so hopefully it will be back as it was ASAP.
