Re: Chipmunk AI

If anybody is still interested in an AI Chipmunk, then there is one created for FS9 by Mike Cronin which can be found at FlightSim and, I think, Avsim. Here's the link -

Hope that helps,

I have a Bandit Enterprises created AI Chipmunk which flies without chocks...It is for FS9 and I do have it in P3D but have not yet watched it fly...It is based on Rick's Chipmunk but does not use the current model. It uses a model called T10 as can be seen in this Aircraft.cfg file:-

[fltsim.0]
title=Chipmunk G-APSB AI
sim=FSDS3 DH ChipmunkAI
model=T10
panel=
sound=
texture=GAPSB
checklists=
kb_checklists=Chipmunk_check
kb_reference=Chipmunk_ref
atc_id_color=
ui_manufacturer=Bandit Enterprises //"de Havilland"
ui_type="Chipmunk"
ui_variation=G-APSB AI
atc_id=G-APSB
atc_airline=
description="Peter's Chippy based @ Booker Aerodrome 1970"
ui_typerole="Single Engine Prop"
ui_createdby="Rick Piper"
prop_anim_ratio=2.02
atc_parking_codes=HAN
visual_damage=1

One disadvantage to most people is that the animated pilots are Jonesey in the front seat and me in the back seat!

I will endeavor to watch it fly the circuit in P3D and report back here how it looks...I have only seen it parked so far and I think it only flies at weekends :)

EDIT...I have now seen that I have substituted a previous model in the Model Folder but left the folder name the same

My folder "Model. T10" for the ai version now contains two files of the same name but with the real T10 version disabled and the active one is a previous model from about a month earlier:-

FSDS3 DH Chipmunk.mdl 1822 KB MDL File 28/11/2006 16:08
FSDS3 DH Chipmunk.mdl.ORI 1993 KB ORI File 24/12/2006 15:07
Model.cfg 1 KB CFG File 04/11/2006 17:54

These models are Rick's property and I would not be able to upload them without his permission...I remember that I was a Beta Tester for the Chipmunk in FS9 and I may well have used this other model from the previous Beta version.
