Where did you get the Portsmouth scenery and is it compatible with FS9.

Tom..

It was made for FS9 (not by me I might add) and has been dragged into FSX. Filename is porthigh.zip and should be at Flightsim.com ;)

No problem Tom ;)

Remember though.. it won't look quite the same as in my screenies. In fact, it'll look a fair bit different. That said.. all the high rise buildings are there, Spinaker Tower, Warrior, Victory, some of the notable dockyard buildings and a set of modern ships :)

twas done by Simon Swallow, he did another pack featuring Portchester castle and the concrete cruiser on Portsdown Hill too

Looks like Dave's got an 'O' boat tied up at Priddy's Hard, could always put the Minesweeper flotilla off Fleetlands

Hi Pete :hello:

Yes.. I've been wondering what to do with Portsdown hill *-) Of course, the current Daring Class mast and AE wasn't thought of in my day but there's always been something sitting up there. It was as much a landmark as the Hammerhead in Pompey Dockyard.. moreso now as it's still there
There were only ever O boats at Dolphin in my day.. the nuc's were at Guz and the bombers at Faslane. Not sure where SM1 moved to.. probably Guz with the nuc's. To be honest, I doubt anything larger than an O boat would get in there.

We had the 'plastic pigs' in service though I can't recall any ever being at Vernon.. Ton Class only. Then, the Ton's disappeared. It seemed an overnight job but I doubt it was. I've thought about putting an SRN6 on the ramp at Lee for the RNHTU. We'll see :)

I'm running at 19+ fps in and around the dockyard and I don't really want to go any lower. Nothing else I really want to put there now anyway. Portsdown hill won't have much of an effect so I'll have a look for Simon's scenery for it.. Portchester too though that IS a little close :worried:

Just got back from downloading them both Pete. I pulled his FSX QE2 too.. just in case

EDIT: Portsdown Hill is just a little misplaced in FSX and it looks like one of the radars on the concrete ship is missing a texture (I think I found a link by George asking about this years ago) but otherwise.. it fulfills it's purpose. I'm not gonna go there.. I just want to see it in the distance ;)

Tks for the reminder Pete. I had this years ago in FS9 but it's one of those things that didn't get pulled over on one of the many reinstalls hence.. it got forgotten.
