XP Pro is undoubtedly a 64-bit version
There were very few copies of 64-bit Win XP around. Not much 64 bit hardware around then. The XP Pro added "business user" extensions to the Home edition.

Cheers mate, no, that was me helping her with her first Indian meal last summer
Re XP, the versions were XP Home (32 bit) XP Pro (32 bit) and XP Pro (64 bit). As Ian says very few copies XP 64 bit ever used in anger.

Academic really as Nigel's was 32-bit
I'm in the habit of seeing 'Pro' and assuming 64-bit but that's obviously not the case

I came across this excellent YT vid by a reliable source as to how to 100% remove Java and reinstall it correctly.

I say reliable, this chap Britec has produced many previous vids to sort out issues with PC OS's, I think he is a commercial retailer.
