That's the thing mate.. some of us are not adept at shift+. I'm sure Mike has tried all those combinations but like me and other poor souls, all he gets are windows opening and closing. If it aint got a door handle.. it don't get opened

As you have some of the JF aircraft, you may be able to help me.
SHIFT E opens the main door. How do you open the baggage door, engine inspection covers etc?
SHIFT+E+1,2 etc put various panel sections on screen.
Just Flight said I should read the PDF manual. I've done that, and they say even this that and the oter open - but I can't see where they tell us how.

When I try to open other doors that are assigned to the SHIFT E+1,2, 3 etc it rarely works

Usually I get what you are getting as the, machine is just acting on the command SHIFT I, SHIFT 2 etc and ignoring the E part

Because of my problems and the same with so many other simmers I never use those commands in modelling.

I use a little program called Door Control by Georg Aubele. I use it for any a/c with multiple doors. It's available from Avsim "doorcontrol.zip" Made for FS2004 but works just fine in FSX.

That's the one I was thinking about Dennis.. well done that man It's actually in my gauges folder but I've yet to allocate it to anything in this load of FSX. I've just not opened many doors

Downloaded the Door Control, but haven't quite got it right yet. EDIT : it's a FS9 file, comes up on available windows in FSX, no warning about non compatible gauge, but only shows as a black rectangle.
So I hit the SHIFT E combo again, the main door opened. Followed up lazily with 2---da-daaahhhh! engine covers and baggage swung gracefully open.



After a few seconds, pressed 1 (nothing else), main door closed. Pressed 2, the covers closed. It "times out" after a while, but having done the combo, you have heaps of time to make other choices.
