Re: Razbam Harrier GR9
Looking very nice indeed Dave
Re: Razbam Harrier GR9
DaveG,
my previous statement was based on the fact that the AV8 FSX and P3D models are sold separately, and my assumption that the GR9 would follow the same trend. I can only assume that it's something to do with the V/STOL FDE that makes the models different (if indeed there are actually any differences between the two products). Right now, the suppliers who charge for FSX and P3D products individually are still in the minority, but it looks to me as if it's an increasing trend. It was understandable when FS9 and FSX products were marketed separately in the early days of FSX, though some suppliers managed to sell both versions as one product. In this respect, although there are different FSX and P3D SDKs for building models native to each simulator, the differences involved are usually still small in number. To my mind, this makes the decision to sell FSX and P3D models as separate products seem more like ripping off the customer than it was for FS9 and FSX. As such, any supplier who makes that choice is going to lose me as a customer very quickly, and it will only be events like the Razbam $5 sale that move me to actually buy.
And, BTW, your repaints do look very good, especially the camo ... I'll be grabbing a copy as soon as they're available and storing them away carefully in my library against the possible purchase of the GR9 later in the year.
Regards,
Ro

Here's the reply given when some asked about P3d on their forum:

If the P3d release includes extra functionality I personally don't mind being charged an additional small fee, but I would hope for a discount for those who bought the FSX version. I wouldn't pay £25 again just to fly it in P3d as well. I like it, but not that much!
from that I would read that it does work in P3d if manually installed. At this time you will have to port it. You can run the installer and direct it to install the aircraft in the Prepar3D folder but you will have to manually edit the dll.xml file to insert the module activation strings. There is no P3D specific installer and when it comes out you will have to purchase it separately because it will be P3D specific, i.e.: it won't be compatible with FSX.

Re: Razbam Harrier GR9
I'm sorely tempted by this, but I do prefer the GR1 and GR3 versions. I've spent my FS cash this month on two Pooleys books, one from 86 and one from 77
Smashing job on the Camo mate, works well for me
