Keeping Track of your AI

Post by speedbird591 »

Handy tip: remember to reduce the AI slider from max when you've finished fiddling. I don't usually have this bother when I'm doing circuits at Lake Hood. Scared the living daylights out of me :-O

LOL, that reminds me. I was bringing another VC10 back from JFK and I spotted these going the other way - looks like I had two AI files with the same flight plan! Never knew BA did AAR

Ben, do you have the JF TrafficX combi pluspak add-on installed?

I ask because I have seen several civvy aircraft flying 'in formation' at times during various phases of FSX installations over the past couple of years. Everything from Beech Barons to A380s flying tandem.

Oh, and the entire squadron's worth of Hawks flying together from Valley, I think it is. All in one extended line. "BY THE RIGHT....!"

edit - found some shots of the Red Arrow wannabes:

No John, all my own doing. I basically took the flight plans from the VA pages (which were based on real world timetables for the most part) and setup those in FS using AIFP. I think at one point I decided to do the BA fleet as one AI pack, but later decided to break it down by time. So I think I've got a BA pack (that only has the VC10 / Supers in and then a separate pack for just the BA VC10 / supers

The VC10 shot reminds me of the spoof 'Fly United' ad of the 70s with the ducks (google image it if you're not old enough). You should leave them like that, Ben, it'll save fuel.
