Vickers Viscount one gen out, where is the gen master sw?

Post by Anders Samuelsson »

Hello,

Firstly I would like to extend a big thank you to all the developers here. You have given me countless hours of enjoyement!

I have a question about Piper's Vickers Viscount. Today during a short flight I had a problem with the #2 generator. I tried to follow the excellent checklist for one generator inoperable but I had a problem. It says I should turn of the "gen maste sw", I have found all the others switches used in that checklist but I cannot find that switch. I have also read the extensive reference page that came with the aircraft but I cannot find where it is. I use the 806 model BEA with corresponding version of the panel.

Any one can point me to the location of that switch it would make my day the flight went ok without the generator but still for future reference.

take-care
Andy

The generator master switches are on the starboard side console on the 802/806/808. Beneath each generator ammeter is an overvoltage reset switch, red failure lamp forming part of the central warning system and an ON/OFF master switch for each generator.

Hope this helps :)

cheers
