I bought this a few years ago and decided that my computer couldn't really handle it so I stuck with FS9.
I'm trying it again with a new rig and wondered if anyone knew if there were any patches to add
to the Deluxe Edition or does it have all the bells and whistles needed.

I'm guessing you need to add SP1 and SP2 as they contained some upgrades and bug fixes they are important

Yep, I you'll need both SP's. They can be downloaded from Avsim if the Microsoft links no longer work.
