Actually Mark, you're not far wrong after the summer we've had this year.
The IWM Duxford is one of those places on my 'bucket list'. My significant other somehow got tacked onto their charity drive mailing list, and has actually donated $100 USD in the last year alone...despite the fact that she couldn't tell a P-51 from a Lancaster...bless her heart!
Well thats rather nice of her - you do the aircraft recognition bit and she can cough up the dosh! Many many US dollars have flowed into Duxford over the years, the American Air Museum building being the most obvious result. Oh and all the exhibits too...the US authorities have been very generous with what they've donated. I've overheard US servicemen, visiting the place from the local USAF bases, expressing surprise at whats on show there. :)
