FSX service pack 1

Post by Vc Ten »

Hi All Just a word of warning
After a poor attempt to install fsx with acceleration I descided to reinstall fsx with just service pack 1 and 2
Problem 1 Couldnt find service pack 1 on pc or anywhere else for that matter Ok no worries just click on the link on the fsx home splash screen, only to find Problem 2, Microsoft dont seem to have it on their web site anymore :-O Lots of web hits but most link to microsoft pages. Found a copy eventualy, and installed. Ran the sim shut down and then installed sp2 which i had a copy of.
Early days but sim seems to run "better" now. :) Just make sure you have a copy of sp1 before it disapears altogether. Is this the start of microsoft's reported end of support for fsx? Spose sp2 will be next
Cheers

Both SPs have been uploaded to Avsim, and I think Simviation as well.

I bounced off that page the other day Rick while searching for the SDK. The truth is out there.. all you have to do is find it

Just try clicking on the hyperlink. When the open/save box appears see if it actually downloads ;)
