I dont know what stick/yoke/throttle combo you have, but I've found FSUIPC has been very useful for setting up my Saitek X52 and X52 Pro ( don't ask why I have both ).

Thanks for all the info, Paul. I've just had some good news from Aerosoft in that they're planning to do a P3D installer for Fairbanks so that will be worth waiting for.

Meanwhile, at Anchorage, it's mid-winter and the snow and ice effects are superb. It really gives me the feeling of being there again. The time is set for midday in January so it's about as light as it gets at that time of year. The sea is frozen near the shore and Lake Hood is also frozen solid. It's strong enough for my ski fitted skywagon. So this £15 package gives me an international airport, the busiest SPB in the world, an iced lake and a GA strip to play with! Woohoo

The World of AI package also includes a couple more of those NAC 737-200s, so mine feels very much at home.

Paul. Dragging this thread back on to the topic of the FTX GA package ...

I've been 'avin a fiddle about. Utilising the FTX AI aircraft I'm going to write an IFR AI package for Bowerman to give me some GA action without having to reset the config file every time. I won't be able to extend it to the smaller strips as IFR AI needs an ILS or it won't work. If it works OK I might do the same for a couple of the other regional airports in the area.

I'll let you have a copy of the bgl(s) when I've done it. Any requests?

I'll be interested to see what you come up with at Bowerman, Ian, as it might well become my default airport in the area. As far as setting up, I've gone off on a FSUIPC tangent for the time being.

Is that the Aerosoft Beaver? It looks lovely. I'm quite tempted by it. I enjoy flying the default one - it's so appropriate for North West bush flying

I've got a plan in my head for the AI traffic at Bowerman. Using the FTX aircraft, I'll use about ten of them to criss-cross between half a dozen ILS equipped airfields within an hour or so of Bowerman. We should end up with an average of 6-8 on the ground and 8-10 movements an hour.

Sounds good, Ian. And yes, its the Aerosoft Beaver, but they intend to do an updated model before too long - I would imagine once their Twin Otter is released.

Sadly the links in that post appear to be broken - all I get is "... no permission to do that ...". IF it's just a membership problem, that's complicated because they've closed membership while they move "back" to a different host ...
