Oh, go on, then. Seeing as you appreciate it so much!

To all who took the time to respond to this question, thank-you.. I have been simming since... geez FS4 or 5; an awefully long time.. To quote, "The question really is, what do you fly and how do you fly"; is really the right one to ask and to be honest I've never really put an answer to it.. I find that I like the challenge of the 'mission'; planning and then executing.. I think this goes back to my whole career in aviation.. I've done several 'around thae world' type flights with real airline schedules in real time.. A recent favorite has been the A2A Stratocriuser.. This was the first native FSX aircraft I acquired and I still love it.. Got tied up with JF and thier recent offerings [Comet, Viscount, DC6B and B737].. None of them measure up to what I had with FS9 from CBFS and Calclassic; so I went back and started bring these aircraft into FSX.. My next FS9 to FSX will be Dave Maltby's fleets.. I do have the CaptainSim B707 and B737; and the 737 is probably one of the best (even with numerous panel flaws).. Brings back fond memories of some spectacular right seat time in BC district..The only low and slow that I flew regularily were the DC3 [maamsim] and the Dove (this one I really liked).. From a scenery perspective, I fly with the full FSGenisis terrain mesh and AS2012.. Real weather (ground to FL370) is a major point for me, and I like to fly with the sliders all the way to the right.. Breaking out at minimums and finding that perfect picture is number one!.. To that point, I was reluctant to start playing around in the .cfg's, and I found a program 'FSPS Xtreme FSX PC'.. I do not worry about tweaks, and leave it to the software; but I am becoming curious, and this is the openning that caused me to look into P3D.. Maybe waiting for V2.0 is the most judicious plan of action.. But short and sweet the more realism that I can get myu hands on; I'm in..

Thanks guys

Glenn

If you don't already have it Glenn, REX essentials is a must. It does need a decent setup and I'm not au fait with the ATI cards these days, but you'll need a half decent one if you go down that road, but well worth it IMHO. Based on what you've said, I'd keep an eye on P3D for now, but probably wait until after V2 is released next year before making any big commitments ;)
