As for interstate rivalry, I think you'll find that XXXX is the same strength as VB. It's been so long since I've seen a can, I can't remember. Mike W can probably answer that question.[/quote]
I drink Cascade meself, although I will have a XXXX, to be polite...as to Vomit Brew, well I'm not part of that demographic.

Cascade? Imported from overseas?
A very refined brew from Tassie.
Now a question about my very special occasion drink:
When is six bottles of champagne too much?
When you can only afford five.

Why is lager served cold?
So you can tell it apart from urine.

Back in the late 1970s, my youngest bro saw one of his favourite Edinburgh pubs (it was about 300 years old) turned into a chrome and Formica travesty by an invading Oz brewing chain whose name I will leave you to guess. There was no email in them days, but he wrote in a letter "...just look at a fine pint of Guinness' - rich and dark, you can see there is meat and drink in it, not like that lager, thin and yellow like something the cat did on the carpet."

I could never fathom why we sold so much of that Fosters piss when I worked at S&N... brewed for the pallet of southern softies

Well, we could get it back to Abacus if you really want, Dave
My favourite at-home beer is Wadworth's 6X from down the road in Devizes. Obviously it's 50% better than XXXX
Where did this X classification for beer come from, anyway?
