No mate, the Accademic license is $49.95 (USD) which is a one off cost.
Ben.

Ah OK so like buying FS.
What is the developer license $9.95 or something per month is that just for payware developers or freeware?

Hi Garry,
I think the "Developer" version is really aimed at commercial developers. I think you get access to "other tools" as the SDK is available as a free download for anyone who has any version of the product. I'm sure someone here said that they had paid for the Developer version, but I'm pretty sure DG is using the Accademic one with the Free SDK

I may be wrong, but my reading of it is that using the Free SDK, you cannot develope payware.
Ben.

Like with all new things it's going to be a suck it and see.
Who knows...there might be certain limits, but maybe not.
Allowing total freeware can only benefit their sales in the long run and the more who buy the sim the wider the market for payware, so everyone benefits in a round about way.

The other nice thing I've just spotted in the P3D SDK, is a tool to build air files!!!
Don't know if its any good, but I know a certain 4 engined prop that I'll be having a look at with this
