After some advice as if you didn't already guess!!
Looking at buying some throttles for FS9 just to add a bit more realism and wonder if any of you have either of the ones listed so can advise me.
First, this one only has three throttles so question is can one throttle be programmed to 2 engines each leaving the third as a spare or can they only control one engine each?
Second is this one, does not appear to be much throttle movement availbale compared to the first one but wonder how good it would be especially when having to make small power adjustments.
Would it be better to have the 2nd choice as then able to use one throttle per engine leaving 2 spare? or go for the first one and have more throttle movement.
Many thanks in advance.
Kind regards
Nigel.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
Running Win7 and gawd knows what the full spec of my computer is apart from having 4 Gb Ram and a good graphic card.
The first one would keep me really happy flying the Trident though sometimes I am inclined to fly the Comet and Viscount on occassions so four throttles would be the best option if you can help.
Kind regards
nigel.

I've got the first one, but never use it ( I use the throttle on my joystick). Each lever can be used for anything that can be defined in FS. I had two levers set up for left and right engines, & the third was used for brakes.
As I never use mine now, you can have it for the cost of the postage. PM me if you're interested.
I had the second one but like DG.. ended up using the control on my stick instead. I swapped it with Techy for a graphics card
A word of caution if you go with either..
Syncronising multi-engined models is not as easy as you'd imagine.. especially models with 4 engines.. it gets most frustrating. That said, the CH was great for flying twins though again, getting each engine bang on was not easy. I've no experience of the Saitek unit but the CH is built like a brick outhouse as all their products are. If in doubt, take Dave's offer of the Saitek. You know it makes sense
I had the throttles set up via FSUIPC. If it was a twin, the they simply controlled each engine, but if it was a 4 engined aircraft one lever handled engines 1 & 2, and the second did 3 & 4.
Well, the wifey told me to order the CH Throttle Quadrant on Friday and bless my soul it arrived in good order today!!
Plugged it in and then calibrated the levers via FS9 then set the throttles to full sensitivity with zero null movement and put the Comet, Trident then the Viscount on the ERP and applied 100% power to each engine individually and got max power.
Onto the runway with the Comet and opened up for take-off, during the climb found that I had to adjust throttles individually to match RPM, much more labour intensive than using the slider on the joystick.
I know it is expensive but can honestly recommend it if it comes within your budget. Gives a whole new meaning to flying!!
