Dear oh dear.. how many times I've looked at a picture just like that over the last couple of weeks  I've looked at umpteen videos of the P51D and recently, the Wildcat and hand on heart.. the P51D looks a lot smoother.. a lot more stable. That said, I shall be up not far from you in the not too distant to collect the Super Cub and Wildcat so even if the P51D comes off.. I'll have others to fall back on ;) I'm particularly interested in getting the Super Cub so I can put a float set on it. Much cheaper than the ever-so-nice but expensive IconA5 (even in PnP format) so then.. I'll almost have the best of both worlds as far as electric goes. To be completely 'there' I'll need to have a glider in the collection but hey.. let's not get greedy  Marriage guidance is pretty well booked up at present so we have some breathing space

I'll be getting a basic trannie for the Super Cub so won't have to invest in a DX6i just yet (thank god!) but.. if the P51D falls through.. I'll be getting the tx/rx combi soonest. It's all go innit ;)

Keep us up to speed with the P51D. I do know that the weather forecast for the next year is shite so I'm edging my bets with a float kit for the SCub.. this for grass landings let alone on the canal

We'll have to get together and sort out a syncronised display for our readers :worried:  You'll have to follow me as I don't have a camera

P51 all assembled and almost ready to go. :)

Just the CofG to check and I'll try get her up for the maiden tomorrow.

A little longer in length and longer wingspan than the Wildcat. *-)

Just like the real ones I guess.

Hello Mate :hello:

Yes.. mine was waiting when I got home this afternoon and it's now assembled and the battery charged. However, I'm too scared to fly it  I was very kindly given a Wildcat which is in need of a battery, rx and cowl (though I could fly without the cowl) plus.. I need a suitable txer. Wish it was ready to go as I'd feel safer learning on that rather than the P51 :worried: Still.. I now have a Super Cub too (from the very same kindly gentleman) and this is a goer. God.. is it big compared to the Champ :-O Not sure what state the battery is in and the charger I ordered told porkies about the deliver time. It stated 4-5 days 2nd class and when I got the dispatch note, this had rocketed to between 7 and 9 days

Could I charge the Cub battery with the P51 Charger? It's the same size as the P51 battery but has a higher C (discharge) rating.. 20 as opposed to 15 for the P51? It's only the car charger for now and I don't really like leaving a charging battery in the car :worried: If you think it would be ok.. I'll give it a go though ;)

So.. my front room has gone from a Champ sitting on top of a bookshelf to a Champ, a P51, a Super Cub and a Wildcat. SWMBO has been very good up to now but I don't know how long this will continue

Ha ha.

Your hanger is getting full to the brim mate.

The Wildcat shouldn't take much to put right. I picked up a pack of two cowls from eBay for about £7.

As for the batteries I'm not sure what the connectors are so wouldn't like to say.

I use standard EC3 Parkzone ones. I had to buy a small connector for the IMAX charger.

It's a tamiya to EC3 connector. As the IMAX comes with a host of connectors. Very useful but no EC3 ones

Took the Mustang for a flight before. Christ I was nervous at launch!!

Can safely say it was magnificent mate. Smooth, fast and very versatile. :)

I threw her round all over the place. Loops and barrel rolls etc. No issues. B-)

Id actually go as far as saying its easier to fly compared to the Wildcat.

Much much easier to keep hold of at lower speeds.

I'd opt for the Mustang for your first venture Dave. Seriously. *-)

An absolute little honey. :agree:
