More Cycling

Post by Tomliner »

Seeing Chris's photos set me off wanting to get the bike out again. After a sh*t weekend weatherwise, today was beautiful so I decided to have another ride to North Berwick which is just under 30 miles from this part of Edinburgh.I took my time and enjoyed using my camera.SWMBO took the car there and we came back in that. The return journey would be too much now I'm over 50! :hide:
There are 14 pics taken along the way,

Below is the obligatory bike shot just to keep Ian happy

The next four were taken passing through Gullane. There are several golf courses in East Lothian between Edinburgh and North Berwick.

Next two are in the village of Dirleton. On these rides it is lovely to smell the scent of the wild flowers etc but in this part of East Lothian the other thing you can smell is money!

These are old buildings which used to part of Dirleton airfield.I don't know much about it but I expect some of the older locals will recall its history

I didn't realise that a reception party was awaiting my arrival. Not sure if they were smiling for photo or laughing at my appearance!

End of the road at North Berwick after probably my most enjoyable ride here.

Now to rest my legs! :) EricT

Don't know about the reception but #6 from the right seems to have a message *-)

Great pics Eric  , that would be my idea of a day out, just taking time, let those wheels roll and soak it up B)smk

What a great day out, Eric! Wonderful pictures too. I really enjoyed that and I'd have loved to have joined you there. And all those lovely young things waiting to be snapped as well. It makes my mud and tractor pictures look a bit pedestrian.

Thanks for posting them. You've raised the bar now!

Ian :)

Photo 13 is a cute shot of the baby boats in the tiddlers pool.
Guess they put sails on them when their confidence improves, and they can go in the deep water? :hide:

Lovely pictures Eric, thanks for sharing them! :agree:
Cheers, Mike.
