Indeed :( Wonder if he thought he could get it down as he didn't bang-out? That said, if something catastrophic happened and he was flying low, he may not have had the opportunity. Went to a Hunter crash when I was in the Navy.. the ship I was on located the wreckage. Similar circumstances.. the aircraft being operated by FRADU.. civvie pilots running simulated attacks against ships to get them operationally ready for whatever the world decides to throw at them. Never did find out what the cause of the accident was. He was flying low over the sea then nothing.

This is sad news indeed.Thoughts to his family.Also a sad loss of classic British aircraft.EricT
