Cimber-Sterling came into being in 2008 when Cimber had bought the name and AOC of Sterling but not the aircraft.
Cimber was one of the few airlines to operate the VFW.614 and they also operated two other less widespreadly used aircraft in the form of Nord 262's and Gulfstream 1's on scheduled services.
