Despite having 2 British F1 world champions in the past 4 years, a Venezuelan driver possibly gave me my biggest F1 induced smile in years - possibly since Damon Hill won his championship in 1996.
Something special about seeing Williams Renault on the podium, and not just on the podium but on the top step, which to a child of the 1980s like me is normality!
Of course the only downer is that they've suffered a very expensive garage fire since (a couple of minor injuries and smoke inhalation only, thankfully). Maldonado's chassis was still out of the garage, but Senna's looks a little smokier than it should.
