OK Tom.. then look in the aircraft.cfg and where the model says one thing (dunno what it says as I don't have mine loaded).. point the paint for 554 to the other model. It should work though you may have to check the wings. I can't remember if PSS included a Mk1 (straight wing edges). I'm going to see if it's on an external drive now and I'll take a look if I can find it

I've found it Tom. The model is 558_2 I think. I've downloaded the paint so I'll have a look. All it will need is the black paint on the undernose

Hmm.. it can be done but there's something odd going on around the nose! You can't see it in that shot though



EDIT: Looking at that shot again, you failed to remind me that the underside is also white! If someone would like a go, please jump in now

When mentioning the top of the tail not being straight are you meaning the model lacking the fin tip aerial?

Hi Tom..

Let me finish tinkering with the black on the nose and I'll send you the texture. Scenery is UK2000 Guernsey (part of UK2000 Part1).. my default start. I never upgraded it to the 'new' airport as I much prefer the old one

Right.. you can have the UKMIL paint.. for the model you want and with a black nose HERE . If you want it with a white underside.. you'd better wait for either the Gaffer (UKMIL) or Jason Sparkes (who is a member here) to paint the underside for you. I don't like re-jigging other folks work without permission though I don't think either the gaffer or Jason will mind me changing the model and adding a black radome. As Jason did the original 554, I'm sure he has his own paintkit for it and it'll be a darned sight easier for him to do than for me to either make my own PK or cut and shut a selection of paints

If you have the current UKMIL 554, I'd suggest you remove it or rename it texture.ukmilXH55470 and change the texture description in the aircraft.cfg to read texture=ukmilXH55470 . That way, you can have the best (almost) of both worlds I've included a new cfg entry inside the paint for you to add to your aircraft.cfg

Is Gaffer and Jason doing one aswell it doesnt matter either way your repaint is good.
