The 146's for the RAF are full airforce aircraft. They are not civil in any way. The interesting one is the Quinetiq one. In the past these often had military regs. If these new QQ regs actually happen I think its a first.
The airtanker stuff is different again. These are also full military aircraft, however the method for 'paying' for them is similar to leasing a car including maintenance over a fixed period of time.

Might be done when she goes full military

I guess initially they have overhauled her to full tip top standard flying airframe under civil registration with the military fit taking place as a seperate follow on project once accepted although maybe still on civil registration for a bit for test flying.

Looks smart B-) and the pic of the gear retracting is a great action shot. B)smk

Probably old news now, but the Qinetiq ones are G-BVRJ an RJ70, and G-BZAY RJ100

OO-TAZ was repainted at Lelystad between 5 & 19 March. I was there on the 20th, just missed it....

There are some before and after shots on this page (scroll down): http://www.airnieuws.nl/movements/lelys ... index.html
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Trooping in Afghanistan to and from Kabul I believe. I'm assuming the Qinetiq ones will be for ETPS, but I'm not sure. *-)
