I'm loving it...as I speak I am in Free Flight and flying around the island and lading at any airfield that pops up...Graphics to max and 1600x1200 resolution...I adore the water and waves. The flight handling of the Icon is superbly smooth. Altogether, I'm captivated by it. Just landed and picked up some more fuel and hoping to complete a full lap soon

The real star of Flight is the sea...Easily the best I have seen. It is best viewed by flying along directly over the coast at about 1000 feet...Then go into free view (F11) and pan with your hat switch till the Sun's reflections are bouncing of the tops of the waves to your eye. You may need to be behind the aircraft of ahead of it to see the best sparkles but you will soon spot the best view. Screenshots will show the sparkle but not their movement. However, I have taken a few screenshots today and will process them later and add them into this post. :)

Yes, I've 'accepted' it too.

Having completed the two obligatory missions , I had a brief free flight but was only just whelmed. It'll be interesting to see how Flight is developed, what add-ons come along, and whether the business model works. Other than that, I'll continue to spend my virtual flying time in FSX and RoF. :)

Even with all the sliders at minimum I can't get it to run smoothly, which doesn't make sense. The game reminds of one I've got on my PSP called Pilot Academy. It's set on an imaginary island, very similar to Hawaii, and you get to unlock lots of planes as you complete missions. It's not a true simulator but it's great fun and most importantly the developers have made sure that the graphics run smoothly. So it sounds as if Microsoft have done a good job of stealing all the best bits from Pilot Academy then forgotten the one important thing, making it playable.

It runs incredibly smoothly for me, the Boeing is a nice model, but the Icon just feels like an electric car, too few controls for my liking.

Maybe it's the wave of the future.

Maybe not, but then look at all the things we have from the tv show star trek and similar ones like it.

:dunno:

ok gotta go, my Roomba is gonna knock itself out trying to back out of the corner.
