Morning all
Whenever I start FSX I get various little error messages I have to acknowledge to get it to carry on loading (scenery issues). My question is, if I use the FSX repair utility on the disc, will that overwrite my add-ons resulting in a clean install or will it only repair the default FSX files?
Many thanks!!
Rob

Should only do the files that are present on the disc and installed when you first installed it. Backup you config files in {your username}/appdata/roaming/microsoft/fsx folder though just in case. Or wherever they are stored on other OS. It should only look for missing files and replace them.
I've never done it on the main disc only the acceleration disc and that was painless.

Yes your Addons should remain in place
Save your cfg if you want to copy across your games settings
