Interesting aircraft manover over Wash area
Hi, did anyone notice the aircraft circling over the Wash/Norfolk are for most of this morning? I spotted it at 8:30 this morning and it was still circling mid morning. I did a quick scan on the virtual radar site but couldnt see anything. Possibly military? I think i did see the start of the contrail come from the East...

Did a quick google and seems it was one E-3 and another aircraft...
Re: Interesting aircraft manover over Wash area
That was an E-3 Sentry from NATO - pretty big circuit. Then it moved off to Yorkshire late morning.
An RAF Sentry and Sentinel have been doing similar elsewhere in the UK today.
French Air Force Sentry was orbiting over Lincolnshire last week.

Doing donuts in the sky? Lucky their aircraft wasn't impounded under the Hoon Laws. (do you have them in the UK?)
Does NATO and the RAF realise that you know their every move, Ian? I'm impressed!
