What time is it?

The "old days" were worse. Pre - internet, computer clocks were notoriously incorrect. I used to ask suppliers why I should trust any of the answers when the machine couldn't even get the time right. All sorts of stuff like variations in elctricity cycles. Never got a satisfactory answer.
I think it was The Doors who said "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?"
Anyhow, according to all my clocks, it's New Years Eve, so have a good one!

Another reason for time or date to go off is the motherboard battery for CMOS going flat

Someone mention that

The old, unreliable PC is four years older and the laptop is prehistoric yet they've never gone flat

Having said that my MoBo does seem to have other faults so that shouldn't be to difficult for it to 'clock' up!
