Unusual Trident pic
Just noticed this recent addition on Airliners. Not seen many pics of the Tridents after their BA career. Especially in the interim like this.

Re: Unusual Trident pic
They might have been but I've seen a few pics like the above but they may have all been of the same frame

Re: Unusual Trident pic
Checking the list I compiled some years ago, 9Q-CTZ was broken up in Zaire in 1986 which implies it was the one sold as spares source for the other three. Previously G-AWZF.
*EDIT*
Forget that, jsut double checked when I read on the photo there should be five not four. 'ZV was in fact the spares ship so I would guess that this one was just de-identified prior to being ferried either to Baginton for repainting or perhaps to Zaire (I had an idea they stopped off at Belgium on the way). Where's Neil gone, he's the authority on this kind of thing?

Re: Unusual Trident pic
In order to redeem myself, and in the absence of Neil himself, I've nabbed one of his pictures off flickr (foubd through googling).
This one shows the sam aircraft in on the of the former BEA hangars

The photo two further on shows 9Q-CTI similarly painted at Baginton. This would appear to support my second guess, that BA de-indentified their aircraft at Baginton, that they were transferred to their new Zairean registrations at LHR and then ferried to Baginton for painting: all white with an italicised "ACS" in blue near the front.

Re: Unusual Trident pic
And here's the same aircraft (we hope!) around 5 months later at Baginton:

Probably much as the 757 as hanging around (and has done for some months now) at LGW in the old Negus livery, pending its new life as a freighter.
