I thought for one breathlessly excited second there that someone had done a new one - but its only the old Alphasim model. :(

An extensive review of a very old product that really doesn't warrant that degree of analysis. The external model is good, and the textures are fine. However the VC is very poor with no mouse clickable controls whatsoever, so everything has to be done in the various pop-up windows. The product page does warn of this, but I still feel that describing it as compatible with FSX is stretching it a bit. It also has those awful 'reflection' textures on the instrument faces that were a trademark of Alphasim for a while. I wish Alphasim/ Virtavia would revisit and update the Hampden properly. The external model is really nice, and if someone could rebuild the internals from scratch, I would happily pay for it a second time.

Here's a couple of old FSX shots I have of her..as I say, nice on the outside, eh ?

I found the flight model rather poor too. One test flight and it was out of the hangar...
