Well it's simple to me.......I won't run the hideous XP style, end of.

It reminds me of children's play computers and I was a great dislike for curved designs. If I was transported back to the 1930's and Art Deco I'd probably jump off a cliff

I have a feeling you don't get the personalisation menu in Win 7 Starter however this link http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/11243/ho ... 7-starter/ should give you enough info to get to Win Classic.

I certainly don't see in W7 Starter which prompted the question, although I have yet to go back to that machine

Being a 'lite' programme which is a fancy term for a version with a lot left out, I guess that is something top of the list to help low powered machines run

The net book is really just a simple very low spec machine to connect to and view setup with out any intention of doing anything serious on it

It displays text superbly as does it with pics and other graphics.

Using broadband through can be reminiscent of dial up with chunky loading and slow displaying, but it does get you there...eventually

But obviously, it being my only W7 machine, I could not accept that as typical W7 on a 'normal' PC, I just don't believe for a moment it would be.

ASAIF programmes are best loaded in other then the default location to overcome the 'adimistrator lock out'
