Hi and Help

Post by Olicat »

Well, first of all I thought I'd say hi to everyone as Im new here. My name is Oli and im from Dorset, I like Aviation photography (Military) and I also enjoy FSX when it works - which brings me onto another thingy...

... When Im in FSX and I choose to fly a Helicopter (doesn't matter which one) it will load the model & textures and everything else and I will get good FPS for about a second, then the next second it will be at less that 1 FPS then it will return to normal for another second and repeat over and over again until FSX crashes (whole thing freezes and it throws up that error report message after about 5 minutes) :wall:

Any help would be awesome!

Hi Oli and welcome :hello:

Can you give us your system specs and OS please.. oh, while I think of it, is your FSX SP1, SP2 or ACC/Gold? It'll give the troops something to work from ;) As a guideline, this particular pc (the one I'm on now) is WinXP2, 3gb RAM, AMD XP3200(single core), Nvidia 6800GT 256mb, FSX+SP1+ACC and I don't see that happen.

Ignore the bit about helping me - I FIXED IT

Basically I read the error report which suggested that AEmodule.dll (I think it was called) was causing a problem so I googled it and it was an Audio Environment module, so I removed it and rebooted FSX and it works brilliant - now all I need is some practice!
