Moved it to E&S Dan
No.. I don't recall seeing this one. Is there any footage of it flying anywhere? An impressive model

Here's one a bit better, with the builder discussing the model.

Funny thing is Dave, I found this Comet video when watching videos of the Victor model Tom Arnold pointed out in his thread.

Re: COMET 4B
I've seen it fly and it's wonderful to watch, very convincing.
Goes at a nice gentle speed which matches the scale of the model really well.
I never noticed at the time, but it looks like a 4C model (longer front fuselage) but G-APDA, like all BOAC, was a Comet 4 (6 ft and more shorter).

Re: COMET 4B
I think he says in the video they went with a 4C style longer fuselage, something about better flight balance I think with the model I guess.MALTBY D wrote:I never noticed at the time, but it looks like a 4C model (longer front fuselage) but G-APDA, like all BOAC, was a Comet 4 (6 ft and more shorter).![]()

Saw that up at one of Bruntingthorpes cold war jets day a few years back, it was a joy to watch and listen too, they also had that C-17 Globemaster III that Mark Found had helped to build on Supermodels.
