Help

Post by Filonian »

I've just received a file with .ROI extension.

Could anybody please tell me what to open it with?

If you mean the IRA, I would use a grenade :guinn:

Otherwise, it could mean Report Object Instance by Actuate or Shark Sales Data file or it could come from many programs, try Google.

HI Graham

Whenever I get something unusual like this, I type it (eg '.ROI' or '.ROI.EXE') into Google and search. Always read through several posts, to eliminate the first one being malicious. In this case, it sems to be related to 'Actuate reporting software'.
I'm not sure what this is and the Google search doesn't turn up much info. Personally, I wouldn't open it.

The only thing I've found is a mention that ROI are sometimes used in conjunction with JPEG2000.

But. like Kevin, I wouldn't open it

Thanks for the advice chaps.

I know where it came from - not a nasty, merely information I require for my accounts - and have requested they re send it in a format I can open.
