Where is that Asteroid?

Post by nigelb »

Ok, Gary - when does the asteroid arrive? I ask because yesterday afternoon we had 9.5 inches of rain in about a six hour period after days of rain from the remnants of tropical storm Lee. My basement partially flooded thanks to water pouring through the sliding glass door. Nothing major and I was able to clean up with a wet vac although it smells like a wet gymn sock. Lots of flooded roads and schools were all closed today. Brian, the water offer still stands - how ironic that Texas still has not received any rain. I hope your safe and far away from those wildfires.

I also hear that Hurricane Katia is possibly headed for the Northern part of the UK - will diminish in strength as she crosses the pond but may make for some windy and rainy days there.

Ah Gary, that National Geographic programme was also shown on this side of the pond. I did not watch though because I already know quite a few ways! :agree:

I was watching a program like that when we had all the fuss about swine flue. It was going on about how there are thousands of virus' ect out there that could wipe us off the face of the earth if it made the jump to humans...
