Apology required, I think...
Dear all,
I think my running out of fuel just after touchdown at the end of this flight has dented the airline's reputation. If so, I apologise for this consequence of my miscalculation. (I guess it's fortunate I was able to land normally before the engines all erupted in flames -- the sign of fuel exhaustion in the Comet..?)
Other than continuing to try to fly sufficiently well, is there any penance / reparation / etc I should serve / provide / etc..?
Sheepishly,
David

Oh dear. Nevermind, I've done it myself.
Give yourself a good slap and as punishment I think you should fly every route we have.

I just did an L1011 trip and landed with 1,000lbs, pulled on stand with 200lbs left.
Even then, I'd diverted from LHR to LGW as I'd realised in the descent that I wouldn't make LHR.

Re: Apology required, I think...
It is for that reason, I can't fly using lbs. Gallons is too over the top and neither here nor there so I plump for Kg.. a nice 'middle ground'
For DK.. perhaps we should get some old Empire routes sorted so he could fly the HP42. The Rapide is almost fast by comparison

I think a few of the real oldies HP42 and that era would be a cracking idea!

The idea is far from implausible Simon. Imperial Airways routes are available as is Derek's HP42. Not sure how the old girl would work in FSX but it's still sound as a pound in FS9

If someone wants to take a go at putting in the HP42 info, I'll certainly get it in. Sadly, until the database issue gets found and fixed, there won't be much flying it.
