Yep, he's definitely not your average Joe. I agree with you 100% Garry, I can't imagine they'll fill the 1-11 for her $880.00 joy ride around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Folks around here seem to be more interested in WWII aircraft. A B-17 or P-51 gets much more attention/press around here than a civilian airliner. :(

According to http://www.bac1-11jet.co.uk/ the flight is confirmed!
I hope, someone takes the opportunity to record a significant piece of film...

Cheers,

Nick

Does anyone know if that flight really took off last saturday?
I expected some pictures to show up on Airliners.net or the other big databases...
But not even Google seems to know anything... :dunno:

EDIT:
Just found some info on Classic jet Tours' Facebook page.
Flight was performed "with great success", there's even one video of the aircraft taxying.

C'mon it can't be true that there aren't any other pics or vids??? :(( :S *-) 0:)

Best,

Nick

Yes, it flew. :) I actually saw her for about 5 seconds (I was driving at the time) as she flew low and slow heading north from Love Field. Southwest employees were offered (at the last minute) a 25% off discount for this flight but that was still too expensive for me. :(

Thanks Nick

I thought the TV cards a bit odd...maybe trying to emphasise the British aspect

Seemed a long time from starter spin up with a constant note before the engine fired..both times *-)
