I am sat here with my right leg pretty much useless after having knee replaced a few weeks ago and finally I find a position I can sit in front of the PC so I can get rid of my frustration by wiping a few out in COD2 not a graphically challenging game by todays standards and something my pc should eat up... well all went well for 10 minutes and just as I was about to nail a Panzer attack everything went very quiet well apart from the PC fans.... bloody thing just died on me, no warning and wont start. All I get is the fans running as well as CPU fan and video card fans but nothing else....Due to being unable to get on the floor and delve much further I am stuck. Odd thing is on start up there are no bleeps and the usb hub lights dont work, although the keyboard usb backlighting comes on.
Anyone havea ideas?? PC has not been moved for ages and worked for my daughter yesterday without any problems and did a full virus scan for a couple of hours.
Bluudy computers, lookslike its back to watching Jermey Kyle on TV again

Think positive The last time I had those symptoms, I changed the PSU and as luck would have it.. this made no difference Ended up buying a new mobo (and cpu just to be on the safe side) The cpu may well have worked but it was a case of in for a penny.. in for a pound. All existing kit (graphics card/memory/HD's) went onto the new mobo and the end result is what I'm looking at now! Fingers crossed it's not this not that bad for you.
Hope the knee gets better soon so if all else fails, at least you can get out of the house and back to work. ANYTHING but Jeremy Kyle!
Peed off though as the PSU isnt that old maybe 2 years and it wasnt a cheap one either. Trouble is I wont be able to do anything for some time as its too heavy to get it off the floor. I thought PSU as no beeps and USB lights on key board but not USB hub. I will have to get my meter out and start checking the lines.
Cheers guys
ps I cooked a chocolate cake instead of J.Kyle a chocolate crunch like the old school days, you know the type you had to smash it with a hammer to get into it then chase it round the floor.... Ahh the good old days. (pre PC in more ways than one )

I'd say save me a bit Tony but I honestly don't think my top plate would stand it I remember you getting the PSU as my pc had died at the same time. Torn between the same OCZ or the Corsair.. went for the Corsair in the end
Good news mate The Corsair has a 5-year warranty (which is one reason why I went for it) so dig the box out or check your emails and bell the vendor. The worst they can say is sod off but if it's got a decent warranty in B&W.. they're obliged to do more
