Re: FSX Meteor F8 released
I just dont know Dave, there is obviously something going on with Brians setup.
I'm sure someone will know.

Re: FSX Meteor F8 released
Thanks Rob and Dave.
I'm running a fresh install of FSX so I'm not sure what's up. I thought maybe the fact that I don't have FSUIPC installed might have something to do with it. I installed FSUIPC but that didn't change anything. Oh well, my ears are my RPM gauges when I fly so I'll be ok.
Thanks again fellas.
Brian

Hi Brian..
If I can get my hands on it.. I think I've 1 pc here with FSX SP2 (not ACC) installed so I'll double check it for you. I'd better double check I have the FSX SP2 intall first though

Dave (et al)
I meant quite seriously that people whine and moan about the download problem at The Pond ANYWHERE BUT at the pond..if we don't know your having a problem we can't help......I am there every day and will put an alternative source for folks who asks for help. Rob has done an incredible job over the last almost seven years, and has sunk alot of his own cash into the site to keep it running....can anyone name a more complete source of British Aviation files for Fs9 and FSX????

I think you have to ask the question
Why isn't there anyone commenting over at he Pond.

Rob, RPM's work for me and I did a dive test, speed was under mach 0.85, removing the tanks would I think only reduce weight not drag in fs which in a dive would give less speed ???

Should an airfile from the FSX F18 work in SP2?
Re: FSX Meteor F8 released
Hi Rob, yes it should work since it is a accel model which has SP2 included as far as I know.
Edit
One thing about the FSX F18 is that it was the first to get dumped when accel was installed on my comp every other FSX default close behind except for that kite thing

Re: FSX Meteor F8 released
I'm wondering if there's a correlation between my inop RPM gauges and the incredibly fast speeds I'm seeing. Last night I took the Meteor up just to see how fast she will go when really pushed. Got her up to 55,000 ft and pushed her over straight down. As you can see from the screenie the Mach meter is pegged. I then pulled to the vertical and let her climb...got kinda high, eh?
Could the inop RPM gauges be "telling" the aircraft that she has no "top end"?
Oh, I read a post on SimOuthouse where it sounds like one other person is seeing this issue. They said..."the planes seems overpowered, takeoff was really short, and climb was really fast... I don't know if the real Meteor was this powerfull..."
