I can answer that one......He built the Be2C at the request of the gents who are rebuilding the full sized replica , . Thanks to MartinP the group made a request for TWO aircraft to play with - The Be2C is the first - the second is seen in silhouette at Steve Slaters website...http://www.biggles-biplane.com/
Patience as soon "Uncle Ted" gives the word it will be made available - on all the usual sites. but it is a hoot to fly!!! just dont expect to go anywhere in a hurry

Looking forward to flying the Be2C, Leif. She's always been very high on my list of favorite RAF aircraft from WWI.

All the beta group have returned a positive thumbs up with some very minor niggles -- We are waiting for Gary to resurface and see if he has managed to get any good sound bites from the video's of the NZ "Quirk" running as it uses a REAL RAFMk1 V8 engine. the consensus seems to be that Ted has got the FDE spot on - and anyone who brags about changing it so it goes faster I will personally scrag -- it takes a lot of coordination to fly even in the simulator - lots of rudder - slow flat turns and a lot of patience to get above 1000 feet - it must have made an ideal observation platform and an Eindekker pilots dream to come across one. I have always loved Ted's aircraft but this one takes the cake.
So Go and find Ginger and Algy and get ready to fly

Re: What's Ted Cook Up To?
Had a wander round Strathallan in her last night, good grief it takes ages to gain any height. I started looking for a route round by road rather than over the Ochil hills , it didn't feel like it would make it over at all
Well done to Ted, if this is still the beta version I'm looking forward to the final model.
