It's free so I guess if you have no AI set up its worth it, if you have either good freeware stuff or payware stuff, then no.

I tried it - only to find it overwrote all the great Bill Melichar scenery I have (Plus some nice stuff that Dave Molyneaux and I had done) so thats a no for me unless someone knows how to configure it to freeware scenery.

OMG gift horse and mouth come to mind. Must be a Brit thing. Make a fake FS9 directory and install into that. How hard can it be?

Vancouver : Perhaps you will explain to a simple minded Brit like me how installing into a "fake" ( by which I presume you mean supplemental) FS9 folder ( or directory as you quaintly call it going back to DOS days) will allow the traffic to work on the main FS9 program? Your suggestion does not really seem all that helpful , but I am sure we are all deeply grateful for it

Hi Chris
I'm not trying to defend Vancouvers remark but I think he meant install it to a 'pseudo' FS9 directory to see what's in it and where it goes. While this may not tell the whole story, it may at least give an idea of what it might do
As I said in my first post.. it would be a good idea for all users to visit the link to the Allnodes forums before taking the plunge as the problems reported above are not new. Users could then decide if they really want to risk it or not

Re: Want a free copy of My Traffic 2006
uh pardon
pardon .... but wouldn't "quasi FS9 folder" be best suited to describe the "fakey folder"

As DaveB stated, then examine the relevant traffic bgl files (I don't know if it is one huge traffic.bgl file or lots of small ones a la WOAI) and drag it/them across into FS9/scenery\world\scenery directory. Then drag the aircraft files into FS9/aircraft. Also I assume there may be AFCAD files which may also need to be dragged over (usually into the FS9\Addon Scenery directory.
I'm not bothering to d/l this freeby as I utilise WOAI and other freebies. If I remember correctly MyTraffic did not use realistic timetables (certainly in its early incarnations). But isn't it great that software companies readily give older s/w away.
