Allegedly the shortest landing a B-52 has ever managed. I would think he had to kill the lift rather rapidly, hence the Navy touchdown.

And she won't be getting out. That was before the M11 cut through the runway at that end.

I believe those wing stay things were refered to as "outriggers" for some crazy reason.

Yes they were...like the outrigger on a canoe
The removable ones on the U2 are often called pogos
The Harrier's are outriggers
