Dan-Air HS.748 G-AYYG (ex Mount Cook)

Post by Wildbillkelso »

Dear gentlemen,

Garry mentioned G-AYYG in the Mount Cook thread, so it's just a matter of "repaint efficiency" to transform the former Mount Cook NZ-MCF into Dan-Air's aircraft.

Very useful templates here:

I love this "we've just purchased this bird and quickly pasted our fleet's insignia on her" appearance! Calling this a "hybrid livery" seems a little overdone...

Here she comes:

I've decided to create a completely new company lettering, using a "DAN AIR" template ("London" missing) I've found on wikipedia. Creating a "L" wasnt too hard, but the "O" took some time...
Note the nacelle's lower parts overpainted (as AYYG apparently wore). The horizontal stabilizer of course still has to receive his gray paint.

As usual, I'm thankful for remarks and your critizism!

Cheers,
Markus.

Looking good Markus

I think you'll find the titles were in Dan Air dark blue *-)
