Not bad! I actually knew where I was from the ruin in the second photo. I mean I would have had ATC shouting at me, but that's nothing new...
I remember using the FS2002 based nav simulator at 705 when I was at Shawbury, it was basically one of the instructors labours of love with off the shelf VFR scenery and then he'd hand placed 3d objects throughout the area to make it more useful for low level work.
Nice! I had my very first flying experience in a Chippie at Shawbury when I was a 13 year old ATC cadet. We used RAF Shawbury for powered flights and RAF Turnhill for glider flights.

Small world isn't it Skip.... wouldn't have been Andy Digby would it? He was instrumental in the RCS 'Squib' of which this is basically the scenery
