ZIP Utility?
I tried to unzip a repaint using my trial Winzip but the 45 day period has expired.I'm sure in the past that it has been possible to keep deferring the purchase date but not now it seems.Looking around it seems that Winzip is rather pricey and I saw mention of 7-ZIP which is free.Anyone know anything about 7-ZIP?.Cheers EricT

Re: ZIP Utility?
I don't have 7-ZIP but I have used IZarc which is free and supports most formats (7-ZIP, A, ACE, ARC, ARJ, B64, BH, BIN, BZ2, BZA, C2D, CAB, CDI, CPIO, DEB, ENC, GCA, GZ, GZA, HA, IMG, ISO, JAR, LHA, LIB, LZH, MDF, MBF, MIM, NRG, PAK, PDI, PK3, RAR, RPM, TAR, TAZ, TBZ, TGZ, TZ, UUE, WAR, XXE, YZ1, Z, ZIP, ZOO) I don't think i supports the ZIPX format but I haven't seen a lot of zip files in that format.
It is available from http://www.izarc.org/

Re: ZIP Utility?
I have used WinRAR for a few years now. Free (although it does have a nag feature which you can avoid) and it can open/create both zip and RAR files (as well as many other types). RAR files compress to a smaller package than zip files and are seeing a lot more use.

7Zip is great, free, does everything, opens zip, RAR, other compressed files including iso.
