Hi folks,
Just a short hop this morning from Newquay to St Marys. Challenging weather all the way. Low visability, heavy rain and 35mph gusts.
I felt right at home coming from the North!
I wish FSX would make the water choppy to reflect the surrounding weather conditions. Would certainly make it more real.

Nice to see you enjoying the Cornish air and scenery! The Skybus I think would probably be tucked up in its hanger waiting for the weather to clear or the mist to lift at Newquay lol. I remember a freeware addon for FS9 that gave different wave textures which could be setup for different weather conditions, alas my memory fails to think what it was called.
Regards
Dave

Hi,Johan de Vries and Ed Truthan did a nice water set for FS9 and Fs2002, called Ocean FX v2 its over at Flightsim. It enables the user to select various wave textures for varying wind effects. Not sure if this was the file you were thinking of.

Hi guys,
thanks for the replies. I am running FSX so that file would'nt be suitable.
Also even if it was I would be reluctant to use it since I have REX2 installed.
I am actually very happy with the sim these days. My idea was one observation that I can happily live without. I perhaps was just thinking out loud.
Cheers for your time.

Hi Vegas,
Even more real?
Stunning shot, really. Very much reminds me of my stay in Cornwall some time ago. One of the most fascinating places I've seen on this planet.
So if a flightsim screenshot can bring back memories and release a certain longing for the faraway - how real can it get?
All the best,
Nick

That looks really good, Eddie. The screenie - not the weather!
As for the sea condition, I think it looks 'swell'
A much nicer RW day today - so time to shut down the laptop and wheel the bike out. Should be nice and muddy over the hills!

Lovely Nick. The sort of place you'd never tire of visiting.
Tony, Whereabouts are you moving to?
